International Recording Artist Sylvia Bennett has released a Christmas single, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Bennett is a Grammy nominated Italian born, and American raised vocalist/songwriter that has performed at Presidential Inaugurations and opened for such renowned artists as: Bob Hope, Phyllis Diller, Jackie Mason, Dizzy Gillespie, Barry Gibb and David Brenner. Discovered by the legendary Lionel Hampton, she has since captivated audiences and critics alike with her formidable darkly hued tones and seductive blend of jazz and pop. For “Bay, It’s Cold Outside,” Bennett has teamed up with double Grammy winner Paul Brown and critically-acclaimed Miami producer Hal S. Batt.
“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is a wonderful duet between Paul’s soulful and masculine voice with Sylvia’s velvety relaxed delivery. This fun tune, offers a driving shuffle feel to this classic tune, the arrangement takes us for a nice adventure with many sections and fun background figures. Brown’s guitar solo is a treat. The duet also recorded a video of to accompany the single that confirms what we heard in the track, these two have a wonderful chemistry! This festive arrangement will be a fun addition to the Christmas mix, striking a perfect balance between classic and modern.
