Ayumi Anime : Perfect Girl Review

Ayumi Anime is known for her popular Instagram channel featuring lifestyle, fashion, and travel content that has amassed a wildly popular Instagram following with over 1.2 million followers. However, the multi-talented Anime has also been recording and producing her own music. The Ukraine-born Anime released her hit single “Get Me High” in 2019. Anime is now releasing her tenth single titled, “Perfect Girl.”

Anime describes her latest single, “I wrote PERFECT GIRL about myself and to support those girls who still can’t love their natural beauty. When I was little, my mom always told me I’m ugly, so this pain made me write this song. I hope it’ll resonate with you.” With simple instrumental backing, mainly keyboard and light percussion, Anime sings the words of encouragement and empowerment. An acoustic guitar adds a new sound selection within the song’s structure. Anime’s singing is flirty, playful, and pleasing to hear. However, there are some moments, especially in the backing vocal layers, where her intonation could be more precise. Don’t let this deter you from taking a listen though, the melody is catchy, and the lyrics are inspiring.

Ayumi Anime continues to release singles that will ignite her status in the indie-pop/electro-pop realm with songwriting talent and imagination. Stepping into music to counterbalance her many skills shows another side of Anime while adding color and variety to her social following.
